MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411013772 A) filed by Council Of Scientific And Industrial Research, New Delhi, on Feb. 26, 2024, for 'ferrierite zeolite, its template free preparation and applications thereof.'
Inventor(s) include Vijay Vasant Bokade; Prashant Suresh Niphadkar; Kushal Deepak Bhatte; and Sanjay Pandurang Borikar.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a template free modified ferrierite zeolite has a Si/Al ratio in the range of 12 to 13. Further, the present disclosure also provides a method of preparation of a modified ferrierite zeolite. The present disclosure also provides a process of conversion of oleic acid to iso-stearic acid by using the modified ferrierite zeolite. The commercial grade oleic acid conversion is about 85% and isostearic acid selectivity is about 86%."
