MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411073958 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Sept. 30, 2024, for 'feet warming assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Rahul Mehra; Dr. Satish Kumar; Ayush Tiwari; and Chetanya Somra.
The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A feet warming assistive device, comprises of a U-shaped platform 1 positioned over a ground surface in horizontal orientation, a touch interactive display panel 2 to enable a user to provide a heated environment to the user's feet, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 3 capturing and processing images of the user's feet, plurality of Peltier units 4 to produce heat, a pair of motorized sliding units 5 to provide translation to a tray 6, a speaker 7 to notify the user to position the feet within a chamber 9 arranged with the platform 1, an opening 8 that is accessed by the user to position the user's feet, a hot air blower 12 hot air over the user's feet to warm the user's feet, a robotic arm 10 to position a curved plate 11 over the feet."
