MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010103 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'feeding assistive system for chickens.'
Inventor(s) include Pankaj Kumar Goswami; and Upasana.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A feeding assistive system for chickens, comprising a hopper 1 in which feed is inserted via an inlet 2 as detected by a camera 4 is mounted on hopper 1 and also detect type of feed, an electromagnetic sheet 5 fabricated at inlet 2 for segregating metallic adulterants mixed within feed and collecting feed on a sieve 6, an iris pores 7 crafted on hole of sieve 6 for allowing feed to pass, a vibrating unit 8 for vibrating sieve 6 to collect feed in a particular chamber 10 of a rotatable disc 9, a microphone 11 for providing a voice-command regarding amount and type of feed, and a motorized door 12 crafted with specified chamber 10 for dispensing a user-defined amount of feed on a motorized conveyor 13, three pushers 14 for transferring dispensed feed on three tray 15 positioned adjacent to conveyor 13 that enables chickens to consume."
