MUMBAI, India, Feb. 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541133350 A) filed by Dr. Mahalingam College Of Engineering And Technology, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 30, 2025, for 'federated learning based persona modeling system for privacy preserving cross application recommendations.'
Inventor(s) include Kalaivani P; and Dr. S. Ramakrishnan.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 27, under issue no. 09/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention discloses a federated-learning-based persona modeling framework for privacypreserving cross-application recommendations. An on-device persona encoder learns multiple disentangled user personas from fine-grained local interactions across independent applications. A dynamic persona selector identifies relevant personas based on real-time context and feeds them to lightweight recommendation heads for personalized ranking. The encrypted user persona prototypes are aggregated to update a remote global persona model depending on the periodic distillation and redistribution of the global model to multiple user devices via a secure operating-system-level API that supports privacy-preserving and accurate cross-application recommendations without requiring user-data exchange."
