MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531011945 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on Feb. 12, for 'faucet extending device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Sangita Sarangi.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A faucet extending device, comprising a circular frame 101 configured with an iris lid 102 for affixing onto an end of a faucet, a curved tray 103 attached with the frame 101 by means of a telescopic rod 104 to extend water outlet of the faucet, a heating element 105 embedded in the tray 103 for enabling dispensing of heated water, a rectangular flap 106 attached with the plate by means of a pivot joint for covering the tray 103 during heating to prevent a burn accident of a user, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 107 installed on the frame 101 to determine position of hands of user, a microphone 108 provided on the frame 101 for receiving an audio command from the user regarding positioning the tray 103 and a Peltier unit installed with the frame 101 to heat the water."
