MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531018771 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 3, for 'fastener and pipe thread repairing device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Tapapriya Mahanta.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A fastener and pipe thread repairing device comprises of a hollow cylindrical structure 101 adapted to be positioned around a threaded pipe or fastener, a circular slider 102 installed on a sliding unit 103 positioned along a length of an inner lateral surface of the structure 101, wherein a hydraulic pusher 104 is mounted on the slider 102, having a pointed metallic tip 105 attached electromagnetically at the end, for straightening damaged threads of a fastener or pipe, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 106 to determine the damaged threads, plurality of nozzles 107 installed on a tank 108 containing lubricant attached on the structure 101 for spraying lubricant on the pipe or fastener."
