MUMBAI, India, June 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202414094876 A) filed by Illinois Tool Works Inc., Glenview, U.S.A., on Dec. 2, 2024, for 'fastener.'

The application for the patent was published on June 20, under issue no. 25/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The disclosure provides a fastener configured to be inserted into a first through hole of a first piece for connection with the first piece. The fastener includes a sleeve member, an insertion member and a sealing ring. The sleeve member is configured to be insertable into the first through hole and connected to the first piece, and the sleeve member is provided with a sleeve through hole. The insertion member is insertable into the sleeve through hole for connection with the sleeve member. The sealing ring is arranged around the insertion member and configured such that when the fastener is mounted in place on the first piece, the sealing ring abuts against the first piece to form a seal. The fastener of the disclosure can connect the first piece to the second piece and create a seal with the first piece, thereby preventing liquid from entering between the first piece and the second piece."
