MUMBAI, India, Jan. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511103154 A) filed by Dr. Vijayakumar M. R.; and Fardeen Ali, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, on Oct. 24, 2025, for 'fardeen-vijay inverted master mold for preparing female molds used in microneedle patch fabrication.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Vijayakumar M. R.; and Fardeen Ali.
The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention discloses a novel inverted master mold, named Fardeen-Vijay-master mold, useful in the preparation of microneedle patch. The mold comprises a flat surface containing required number of microneedles, a surrounding circular shallow depth region, and an outer circular wall defining the fill volume of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS), a female mold fabricating material. This structural arrangement prevents bubble formation during PDMS casting and facilitates smooth separation of the female mold without breakage or damage, thereby improving the efficiency and reproducibility of microneedle patch fabrication. While using this inverted master mold, the female mold can be prepared without the requirement of any other container such as petri dish."
