The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A foam layer that is designed to suit the head and cover the eye area makes up a sleep mask. Two distinct elongated foam thickenings are placed on the bottom inner edge of the mask, next to the nose and parallel to the mask edge, leaving a central gap for the nose in order to block light from getting close to the nose. These thickenings totally block light while preserving wearability by sealing the space between the face and the mask."
