According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An eyeglass frame selection and fitting device, comprises of a body 101 with a plurality of compartments 102 for storing the frames, a user interaction module on the body 101 for receiving the input commands for frame selection and fitting, an inspection module on body 101 for scanning and capturing the user's facial geometry, a chin holding unit on the body 101 for supporting and stabilizing the user's chin during facial scanning to ensure precise facial geometry acquisition, a control unit linked with inspection module to evaluate frame based on the facial data type, an eye glass frame gripping installed on body 101 for gripping and retrieving the evaluated frame from compartments 102 for fitting, a frame engaging unit installed on body 101 for positioning and aligning selected eyeglass frame onto the user's face for physical try-on to enhance the efficiency of frame selection and fitting."
