MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521133805 A) filed by Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat, on Dec. 30, 2025, for 'eye-cleaning device.'

Inventor(s) include Kavali Raghavender; D Abhiram Krishna; Simrin Fathima Syed; Dr. Madhu Shukla; Vipul Ladva; Akshay Ranpariya; and Neel Dholakia.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A eye-cleaning device comprises of a base plate 101 adapted to be positioned over eyes of a user, a strap 102 equipped with the base plate 101 via electromagnetic springs 103, fastened around rear portion of the user's head in view of securing the plate over the user's eyes, a cleaning unit to deliver laminar water flow onto the eyes, and collecting water after cleaning, a sensing unit to monitor alignment, pressure, water flow, and fluid levels during operation, an AI-enabled camera 110 to monitor the eyes in real time to detect eye position, blinking patterns, redness, swelling, and abnormal eye behaviour during the cleaning process, a microcontroller to automatically control water flow, temperature, pressure, and cleaning duration based on detected eye conditions, a machine learning model operatively coupled with the microcontroller, configured to learn from historical user data and adaptively personalize cleaning parameters for subsequent cleaning sessions."
