MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517084412 A) filed by The Japan Steel Works, Ltd., Tokyo, on Sept. 5, for 'extrusion molding apparatus.'

Inventor(s) include Yamashita Shohei; and Yokomizo Kazuya.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided is an extrusion molding device that enables smooth operation of the output shaft of an actuator. The device comprises: an extrusion molding die (20A), a lip spacing adjustment mechanism (31c) that adjusts a lip spacing (S) between a movable lip (21c) and a mating lip (22c) of the extrusion molding die; and a retainer (200) fixed to the extrusion molding die and holding the lip spacing adjustment mechanism, wherein the lip spacing adjustment mechanism includes a rod member (32) that is inserted into a through hole (H210) formed in the retainer and has a tip portion (32a) fixed to the movable lip, and an actuator (311) that adjusts the lip spacing between the movable lip and the mating lip by moving the rod member back and forth in its axial direction, the lip spacing adjustment mechanism further including guide portions (400a, 400b) capable of restricting radial movement of the rod member in the through hole while allowing axial movement of the rod member in the through hole."
