Intellectual Property India Publishes Patent Application for 'Extendable Load Bearing Floor For Vehicles' Filed by Multimatic Inc.

MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517044524 A) filed by Multimatic Inc., Markham, Canada, on May 8, for 'extendable load bearing floor for vehicles.'

Inventor(s) include Bevan Tyler James; and Hodza Muamer.

The application for the patent was published on May 30, under issue no. 22/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An integrated and extendable load bearing floor of a vehicle includes a frame a sliding mechanism slidingly coupled with the frame in a longitudinal direction a first floor connected to the sliding mechanism and a release handle adapted to trigger a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism locks the sliding mechanism and the first floor connected thereto in two or more different positions and is triggered to unlock the sliding mechanism and the first floor connected thereto from any position to freely translate longitudinally in relation to the frame."

The patent application was internationally filed on Oct. 25, 2022, under International application No.PCT/CA2022/051576.
