MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411022837 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 23, 2024, for 'excavator chain installation assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An excavator chain installation assistive device, comprising a platform 1 positioned on a ground surface in proximity to a heavy machinery installed with an excavator chain, a touch interactive display panel 2 enables a user to give input commands for fixing bolts in chain, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 mounted on platform 1 for detecting side portion of chain, plurality of motorized omnidirectional wheels 4 positions platform 1, an L-shaped telescopically operated rod 5 equipped with a U-shaped extendable member 6 accommodates member 6 around side portion of chain, a telescopically operated gripper 7 for gripping bolts from a chamber and inserting bolts in bolt cavities of chain in a successive manner, a first robotic arm 8 for fastening bolts via a wrench, an ultrasonic sensor detects depth of bolt cavities, and a second robotic arm 9 remove dust/dirt from bolt cavity via a brush 10."
