MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517069321 A) filed by Biotage Ab, Uppsala, Sweden, on July 21, for 'evaporation apparatus and method for evaporation.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Described is an evaporation method and apparatus for evaporation of a part of a liquid in a sample container, the evaporation apparatus comprising a sample holder for holding the sample container; a light source; a light detector configured to output an electronic signal indicative for a characteristic property of light received by the light detector; an optical fiber assembly configured to transfer light emitted by the light source along an optical path through at least a part of the sample container when placed in the sample holder, and to transfer light that travelled along the optical path to the light detector; and a controller in electrical contact with the light detector, wherein the controller is configured to obtain the electronic signal and to control the evaporation apparatus to terminate evaporation based on the electronic signal."
