MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202341087585 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Dec. 21, 2023, for 'evacuation assistive device for emergency situation.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An evacuation assistive device for emergency situation comprising a cuboidal hollow body 1, multiple metallic extendable sheets 2 positioned within body 1, a pair of pins 3 installed with body 1 via rack and pinion arrangements 4 for translating pins 3 to insert within wall, an ultrasonic sensor mapped on body 1 for detecting positioning of body 1, a computing unit for providing input commands to deploy sheets 2 during emergency situation, a motorized door 5 installed with body 1 to deploy sheets 2 from body 1 via rotating multiple motorized hinges 6, a camera 7 mounted on body 1 for capturing images of ground surface, and an inflatable member 8 equipped over sheets 2 for allowing user to slide, a touch sensor positioned on sheets 2 for detecting contact of sheets 2 with ground surface, and an air compressor paired with sheets 2 for inflating members 8."
