MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441013340 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 23, 2024, for 'esophageal foreign body extracting device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An esophageal foreign body extracting device comprises a circular disc 1 having multiple supporting legs 2 an expandable frame 3 is developed to be placed on a ground surface, a seating platform 4 for accommodating a patient, an artificial intelligence based imaging camera 5 for capturing and processing multiple images, a thermal imaging camera 7 for detecting the presence of any foreign body, a speaker 8 for notifying the user to open mouth, a telescopic rod 9 configured with a C-shaped link 10 having with multiple electromagnets 11 for magnetizing the foreign body, and an extracting arrangement 6 works in synchronization with a motorized pivot joint 12 for extracting out the foreign body from the patient's mouth."
