According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an ergonomically configured potato masher (100) comprising a mashing head (102), a shaft portion (103), and a handle (104). The handle (104) comprises a curved hook-shaped ergonomic structure configured to accommodate the natural grip of a user's hand and distribute applied force across the palm and fingers during mashing operations. The curved handle geometry reduces wrist strain and improves leverage while increasing clearance between the handle and the mashing head (102). The mashing head (102) may include perforations configured to facilitate efficient crushing of soft food materials. The ergonomic configuration improves comfort, control, and usability during repeated mashing operations in domestic and commercial kitchens."
