MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621031304 A) filed by Symbiosis International, Pune, Maharashtra, on March 13, for 'ergonomic angled handle trowel for reduced wrist strain.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an ergonomically configured trowel comprising a blade portion and a handle assembly. The handle assembly includes an angled ergonomic body having a curved geometry configured to align with the natural posture of a user's wrist and forearm during digging and scooping operations. The handle includes a textured grip region configured to improve friction and distribute pressure across the palm. The ergonomic configuration reduces wrist strain and improves operational control during prolonged use. In one embodiment, the handle comprises an overall length of approximately 182.34 mm with a curved profile radius of approximately 82.73 mm and a grip diameter of approximately 50.00 mm. The improved configuration enhances comfort, efficiency, and precision during gardening, construction, and excavation tasks."
