MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004056 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 19, 2024, for 'entrance securing device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An entrance securing device, comprising two cuboidal bodies 1 each installed on sides of a double-door frame by means of primary suction cups 2, a first camera 3 for detecting exact location of junction of doors, an inverted U-shaped member 4 configured with each of bodies 1 via a motorized slider 5 which aligns the member 4 over junction to prevent any unauthorized person from opening doors, a microphone 6 accessed by a user for feeding commands for opening doors and based on which user's voice is authenticated further sliders 5 translates members 4 away to allow user to open door, an impact sensor works in synchronization with second camera 7 detects impact of doors on members 4 by an unauthorized person, and a motorized hinges 8 tilts members 4 towards doors to adhere each secondary suction cups 9 on door to prevent damage to doors or members 4."
