MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421008415 A) filed by Tata Consultancy Services Limited, Maharashtra, on Feb. 7, 2024, for 'enhancing information technology (it) change process efficiency with machine learning powered automated change record review.'

Inventor(s) include Maiti, Sudipta; and Mukherjee, Ashis Taru.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Existing techniques on systematic intelligent change validation are completely manual and highly dependent on human intervention which are prone to errors. The present disclosure provides a system and method which extracts a plurality of parameters from one or more change requests using one or more natural language processing (NLP) techniques. Change risk score and change record gap analysis are obtained by comparing extracted parameters with historical parameters. The change risk score is obtained by dynamically calculating one or more weightages of at least one of application instability score, change proneness score, changeability score, impact score, and likelihood score. One or more change requests are automatically reviewed based on calculated change risk score and change record gap analysis. Further, overall review outcome for each of one or more change requests is determined based on the automatic review. Feedback and action items are further generated based on review outcome."
