The system integrates a traffic signal assembly (101) with a distinct blue light (105), a central control unit (106), wireless transmitter (107), sensor (108), and communication link (115) to enable real-time traffic preemption. Upon receipt of a valid preemption signal, the system authenticates the emergency vehicle, interrupts the normal cycle, activates the blue light (105), and provides pedestrian interface (113). The method includes transmission of the preemption signal, validation, illumination of the blue light, detection of vehicle passage, data logging feature (111), and restoration of the standard sequence. A green corridor system (116) enables coordinated activation across multiple intersections, ensuring uninterrupted passage of emergency vehicles. The invention enhances road safety, reduces delays, and improves emergency response efficiency."
