MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611024519 A) filed by Swami Vivekanand Subharti University; and Dr. Nisha Rana, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 2, for 'enhanced drug delivery system for improved bioavailability of ayurvedic bioactive compounds.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention discloses novel practices in drug delivery systems for Ayurvedic bioactive compounds such as curcumin and ashwagandha, focusing on nanoencapsulation, transdermal patches, and slow-release tablets for improving bioavailability, stability, and therapeutic efficacy. The formulations remedy the conventional challenges regarding poor solubility and erratic dosing, effectively facilitating the incorporation of Ayurvedic actives into contemporary therapeutic practices."
