MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411022913 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 23, 2024, for 'engine uninstallation assistive device for four-wheelers.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 24, under issue no. 43/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An engine uninstallation assistive device for four-wheelers comprises of, a platform 1 installed with an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 to determine location of a four-wheeler in proximity to the platform 1, multiple motorized omnidirectional wheels 3 assembled underneath the platform 1 to move the platform 1 in proximity to the four-wheeler, an ultrasonic sensor arranged on the platform 1 for determining height of the four-wheeler up to the four-wheeler's bonnet, a hydraulically operated rod 4 installed on the platform 1 to extend for positioning a plate 5 integrated on the rod 4 over the bonnet, a worm gear arrangement 6 attached in between the rod 4 and plate 5 to provide tilting movement to the plate 5, and multiple extendable jaws 7 arranged on the plate 5 to extend/retract for positioning ends of the jaws 7 over periphery of the engine."
