MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202547081833 A) filed by Nokia Technologies Oy, Espoo, Finland, on Aug. 28, for 'energy harvesting device cell access and selection.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Energy harvesting device cell access and selection is provided. A method for energy harvesting device cell access and selection may include determining that a first criterion for a cell selection receiver level value is satisfied by adding an offset value to the cell selection receiver level value and determining a second criterion for a cell selection quality value is satisfied. The method may also include performing accessing a cell based on determining that the first and second criterion are satisfied and determining that a value of harvested power for transmission is equal to or greater than a minimum value of transmission power for cell access."
