MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541133288 A) filed by Cvr College Of Engineering, Hyderabad, Telangana, on Dec. 30, 2025, for 'energy-aware distributed learning framework for next-generation iot edge devices.'
Inventor(s) include Mr. G. Ravikumar Reddy.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This invention ensures an Energy Aware Distributed Learning Framework for next generation edge devices is a prominent model that works within the range of minimum power and energy. The model works better than existing models by adjusting its learning methods and protocols for their network communication. This model consists of three stages which are IoT nodes, Gateway servers and cloud. This model proposes a robust algorithm for controlling the local training iterations and higher efficiency is achieved by gradient compression techniques. The system uses opportunistic participation and predictive energy management. It only allows nodes with enough power to send updates. This reduces both bandwidth use and battery drain. As a result, the combination of lightweight model compression and low-power neural optimization helps devices with limited resources maintain high model performance."
