MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541126523 A) filed by The Principal, K. S. R. College Of Engineering, Tiruchengode, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 14, 2025, for 'enabling the efficiency of concrete using cfrp composites.'

CFRP sheets, laminates, strips, rods, or wraps are externally bonded or near-surface mounted onto concrete members to enhance flexural strength, shear resistance, axial confinement, ductility, and durability. The method includes surface preparation, application of CFRP composites using compatible adhesives, and performance validation through structural testing. The invention provides a lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and sustainable strengthening solution for rehabilitation, retrofitting, and upgrading of concrete infrastructure."
