MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202647041687 A) filed by Nokia Technologies Oy, Espoo, Finland, on April 1, for 'enabling passive listening of data traffic.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Various example embodiments relate to enabling a terminal device to operate as a listener to data traffic transmitted by an access node of a communication network to another device. A tethering device may comprise: means for receiving, from a terminal device, a request for the terminal device to operate as a listener to data traffic transmitted by an access node of a communication network to the tethering device; and means for transmitting, to the terminal device, signalling information configured to enable reception of the data traffic by the terminal device over a radio channel between the access node and the terminal device."
