MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641008854 A) filed by Mohan Babu University; and Dr. K. Padmaja, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, on Jan. 29, for 'emovert-emotion-aware smart environment system and method thereof.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. K. Padmaja; and Mr. Boppana Chandramouli.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an emotion-aware smart environment system, referred to as Emovert, and a method thereof. The system detects human emotional states using non-invasive inputs including facial expressions, eye movements, voice tone, and behavioral cues captured through cameras or smart sensors. Unlike existing emotional support platforms or AI systems that require active user interaction, Emovert operates in an automatic and continuous loop without requiring user prompts or commands. Based on the detected emotions and observed emotional patterns, the system dynamically adapts physical and digital environmental parameters such as lighting, sound, system settings, and contextual recommendations. In the event that facial emotion data is not captured or is unavailable, a fallback mechanism is initiated to ensure uninterrupted system operation. To address privacy concerns, the system performs temporary, session-based processing, wherein emotional data is analyzed locally and is neither permanently stored nor forwarded to cloud servers. The invention is applicable across educational, healthcare, workplace, gaming, and commercial environments."
