MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641025752 A) filed by Saveetha Institute Of Medical And Technical Sciences, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on March 5, for 'emotion -adaptive bosu ball for fear-sensitive balance rehabilitation.'

Inventor(s) include Sowmiya E; Kotteeswaran K; and Deepak Nallaswamy Veeraiyan.

The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention provides an emotion-adaptive BOSU ball that monitors physiological and emotional indicators of fear or anxiety during balance exercises. Embedded sensors capture heart rate variability, skin conductance, and weight distribution, transmitting data to an AI system. The AI adjusts the BOSU ball's stability, vibration, or resistance in real-time to match the user's comfort and confidence level. By combining emotional feedback with balance training, the device enhances rehabilitation outcomes, promotes safe exposure to balance challenges, and reduces the risk of falls or anxiety-induced avoidance behaviors."
