MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (201941017054 A) filed by Oravel Stays Private Limited, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, on April 29, 2019, for 'emergency signal generating system and method.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A method and system for raising an alert is described. A computing device generates an emergency signal that includes at least a unique identity (UID) associated with the computing device upon detection of a user action on the computing device. Further, the computing device generates at pre-determined intervals a self-test signal comprising at least the UID, and upon tampering of the computing device generates a tamper alert signal comprising at least the UID. The at least one of generated emergency signal, self-test signal and tamper alert signal are transmitted to a remote computing device. Further, the remote computing device determines the UID associated with the computing device, and compares the determined UID with a pre-defined dataset to extract a location information of the computing device and raises the alert that corresponds to the computing device at the determined location."
