MUMBAI, India, June 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517049432 A) filed by Hitachi, Ltd., Tokyo, on May 22, for 'elevator, and method for restoring emergency stop device.'
Inventor(s) include Ito Yasushi; Zama Hidetaka; Saito Yuki; and Hino Yuto.
The application for the patent was published on June 13, under issue no. 24/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This elevator comprises a car that has a car chamber, a guide rail that guides movement of the car, and an emergency stop device that stops the movement of the car. The emergency stop device is provided with a braking mechanism that has a braking element that clamps the guide rail, a drive mechanism that exhibits drive force for operating the braking mechanism, an operation mechanism that operates the drive mechanism, and a raising member that is connected to the braking element and that raises the braking element when the drive mechanism is operated. An inspection window through which the raising member can be accessed from the car chamber of the car is formed in the car chamber."
The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 22, 2022, under International application No.PCT/JP2022/043112.
