MUMBAI, India, Feb. 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641018163 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, on Feb. 18, for 'elevation-integrated tokenized water allocation system with remote sensing and iot monitoring.'
Inventor(s) include Sabari Nathan, C; Priyadharshini B; and Dr. G. P. Ganapathy.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 27, under issue no. 09/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a system for elevation-integrated tokenized water allocation including a remote sensing module (110) configured to obtain elevation data for an agricultural area and generate elevation classifications based on a Digital Elevation Model. An IoT sensor network (120) transmits real-time soil moisture data. A data processing unit (130) classifies the agricultural area into high-elevation and low-elevation zones and determines water deficit conditions in high-elevation zones and water surplus conditions in low-elevation zones. A tokenization engine (140) generates digital water tokens representing water volumes tied to location coordinates and time periods. An allocation engine (150) automatically redistributes digital water tokens from low-elevation zones to high-elevation zones based on determined conditions."
