MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517091536 A) filed by Ziehl-Abegg Se, Kunzelsau, Germany, on Sept. 24, for 'electronics housing and electric motor.'

Inventor(s) include Schmezer, Joachim.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to an electronics housing (1) for an electric motor (15), wherein: the electronics housing (1) comprises a mounting surface (6) for axially fastening to a stator bush (20) of the electric motor (15); the mounting surface (6) defines a mounting plane (7) that extends radially to an axis of the electric motor (15); at least one cooling channel (10a, 10b) is formed on an outer wall (9) of the electronics housing (1), which cooling channel extends at least in part in the axial direction (11) and is designed to convey a cooling-air flow towards the stator bush (20) of the electric motor (15). The electronics housing (1) comprises a cooling-channel extension (12) for the cooling-air flow which extends in the axial direction (11) beyond the radial mounting plane (7) and forms an axial extension of the cooling channel (10b). The invention also relates to a corresponding electric motor (15)."
