MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517059812 A) filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on June 23, for 'electronic device for generating floor plan image, and control method of same.'
Inventor(s) include Yoon, Sukun; Chen, Jie; Wu, Longhai; Liu, Juan; Kim, Minji; Kim, Jinho; and Lee, Hyungsuk.
The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An electronic device of the present invention comprises: a memory that stores at least one instruction; and at least one processor that, by executing the at least one instruction, corrects, into straight lines, a plurality of non-straight lines included in a hand written image, identifies a first corner in the hand written image on the basis of the plurality of modified straight lines, identifies a plurality of spaces included in the hand written image on the basis of the first corner, and acquires a floor plan image including the plurality of spaces."
The patent application was internationally filed on Oct. 25, 2023, under International application No.PCT/KR2023/016594.
