MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517062753 A) filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on July 1, for 'electronic device for controlling target power according to input power of power supply circuit and control method thereof.'

Inventor(s) include Kim, Dongwook; Shin, Jaehee; Kang, Hongjoo; Choi, Jiwoong; and Hwang, Kumchul.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 7, under issue no. 45/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An electronic device is disclosed. The electronic device comprises: a cooking plate on which a cooking vessel can be placed; an induction heating coil which induces a magnetic field on the cooking plate; a power supply circuit which supplies power to the induction heating coil; a memory in which at least one instruction is stored; and a processor which controls the power supply circuit on the basis of the at least one stored instruction, wherein the processor: controls the power supply circuit on the basis of first target power for heating the cooking vessel; and if the difference between first input power of the power supply circuit and the first target power is equal to or greater than a predetermined value, controls the power supply circuit on the basis of second target power corresponding to the first input power of the power supply circuit."
