MUMBAI, India, June 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517016559 A) filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on Feb. 25, for 'electronic device and method for controlling electronic device.'
Inventor(s) include Kim, Changhun; and Ahn, Deukgeun.
The application for the patent was published on June 6, under issue no. 23/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed are an electronic device and a method for controlling the electronic device. In particular, the electronic device according to the present invention comprises: a display panel divided into a plurality of areas; a panel drive unit which controls the driving of the display panel; a plurality of timing controllers which control the panel drive unit, each include two ports arranged in opposite directions, are connected to each other through the two ports, and correspond to the plurality of areas, respectively; and a first processor which transmits a signal in a first direction through the plurality of timing controllers. When image data and a first signal including a control command for transmitting the image data in the first direction are received from the first processor, the plurality of timing controllers can identify the input/output directions of the two ports included in each of the plurality of timing controllers to correspond to the first direction, and transmit the first signal in the first direction through the two ports that are included in each of the plurality of timing controllers and have had the input/output directions identified to correspond to the first direction. Various other embodiments are also possible."
