MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517079481 A) filed by Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc., Tokyo, on Aug. 21, for 'electronic device and exterior panel.'
Inventor(s) include Mito, Satoshi; Tamaki, Yuta; and Eto, Kazutaka.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An electronic device (10) comprises a device body (20) that has an upper surface (22a) and an exterior panel (51) that covers the upper surface (22a). A partial panel (51L) of the exterior panel (51) has rear engagement part (53), a front engagement part (54), and a fitting part (55A). The device body (20) has a rear engagement-receiving part (25a) for engagement with the rear engagement part (53), a front engagement-receiving part (26a) for engagement with the front engagement part (54), and a fitting-receiving part (27A) for fitting with the fitting part (55A). The rear engagement-receiving part (25a) is positioned rearward of the rear engagement part (53), and the front engagement-receiving part (26a) is positioned rearward of the front engagement part (54). The fitting-receiving part (27A) fits with the fitting part (55A) and restricts forward movement of the partial panel (51L). Thus, provided is an electronic device in which an exterior panel can be easily removed from a device body."
