MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517114387 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Nov. 20, 2025, for 'electrolyte additive, non-aqueous electrolyte for lithium secondary battery comprising same, and lithium secondary battery.'
Inventor(s) include Lee, Jae Won; Park, Sung Guk; Lee, Chul Haeng; and Lee, Jung Hoon.
The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides an electrolyte additive, a non-aqueous electrolyte for a lithium secondary battery in which the non-aqueous electrolyte comprises same, and a lithium secondary battery. Specifically, the present invention can provide a non-aqueous electrolyte for a lithium secondary battery and a lithium secondary battery comprising same, wherein excellent cycle characteristics can be achieved by applying the non-aqueous electrolyte for a lithium secondary battery, the non-aqueous electrolyte comprising an electrolyte additive capable of forming a rigid SEI layer on the surface of a negative electrode."
