MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517059452 A) filed by Robert Bosch Gmbh, Stuttgart, Germany, on June 20, for 'electrode with elongated elevation or groove, and spark plug comprising such an electrode as a ground electrode.'
Inventor(s) include Gringer, Jens; Pfeiffer, Stefan; and Hartmann, Detlef.
The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to an electrode (5) for a spark plug, comprising a main part (50), a longitudinal axis E, an inner end (51) on which an ignition surface is arranged, and an outer end (52) which lies opposite the inner end, wherein the main part (50) has a diameter DG, and the electrode (5) has at least one elongated elevation (55) and/or at least one groove (56) on the main part (50)."
The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 11, 2023, under International application No.PCT/EP2023/085154.
