MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517080270 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Aug. 25, 2025, for 'electrode production apparatus and battery cells comprising electrodes produced thereby, and battery pack and vehicle comprising battery cells.'
Inventor(s) include Kim, Sang-Yeol; Park, Sang-Rin; and Park, Jong-Sik.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed are an electrode production apparatus, battery cells comprising the electrodes produced thereby, and battery packs and vehicles comprising the battery cells. The electrode production apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a transport member for transporting an electrode foil coated with electrode active material; a laser member for emitting laser toward the electrode foil; a jig member for supporting the electrode foil, being disposed so as to be in contact therewith; and a foreign substance-blocking member for blocking foreign substances, generated when emitting laser, from entering a predetermined portion of the electrode foil."
The patent application was internationally filed on Aug. 26, 2024, under International application No.PCT/KR2024/012728.
