MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517055477 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on June 9, for 'electrode assembly, battery including same, and battery pack and automobile including such battery.'

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An electrode assembly according to an embodiment of the present invention has a structure in which a stack, comprising a first electrode, a second electrode, and a separator interposed therebetween, is wound. In the electrode assembly, the first electrode and the second electrode may each comprise: an uncoated portion formed at the longitudinal end thereof and not coated with an active material; and a coated portion coated with the active material layer. Furthermore, a first insulating layer and a second insulating layer may be disposed on a first surface of the first electrode and a second surface opposite to the first surface, respectively, wherein the first and second insulating layers each extend by a predetermined length from an area including the boundary between the coated portion and the uncoated portion toward the end of the uncoated portion."
