MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202528082910 A) filed by Ningde Amperex Technology Limited, Ningde, China, on Sept. 1, for 'electrochemical device and electronic device comprising same.'

Inventor(s) include Hui Cui; Wenqiang Li; and Chao Tang.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present application relates to an electrochemical device and an electronic device comprising same. The electrochemical device comprises a positive electrode and an electrolyte. The positive electrode comprises a positive electrode current collector and a positive electrode active material layer disposed on at least one surface of the positive electrode current collector. The positive electrode active material layer comprises a positive electrode active material. The positive electrode active material comprises Mg elements, and the weight of the Mg elements is X ppm and 300=X=30000, based on the total weight of the positive electrode active material. The electrolyte comprises carboxylic acid ester, and the weight percentage of the carboxylic acid ester is Y% and Y=60, based on the total weight of the electrolyte. The electrochemical device satisfies 5=X/Y=6000. The electrochemical device in the present application can effectively improve the high-temperature cycle performance and the low-temperature discharge performance of the electrochemical device by means of controlling the relationship between the electrolyte and the positive electrode active material."

The patent application was internationally filed on July 16, 2021, under International application No.PCT/CN2021/106704.
