MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202414090924 A) filed by Proterial, Ltd., Tokyo, on Nov. 22, 2024, for 'electricity collection and distribution ring, bus ring holding structure, rotating electrical machine.'
Inventor(s) include Umetsu, Jun; Shikii, Noriyuki; Egami, Kenichi; Mashiko, Shinsuke; and Nakashima, Takeshi.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The electricity collection and distribution ring (112) is assembled into an armature 5 (111), which has an armature core (2) having multiple teeth (21), multiple phase armature windings (31-33) wound around the multiple teeth (21), and an insulating member (4) having an interposed portion (41) interposed between the teeth (21) and the armature windings (31) to (33). The electricity collection and distribution ring (112) has bus rings (51-53) that are respectively connected to the armature windings (31-33) for each current phase, and a retaining 10 member (6) that holds the bus rings (51-53). The retaining member (6) is provided with engaging portions (61-64) that engage with engaged portions (441, 442, 451, 452) provided in the insulating member (4) to restrict relative movement of the bus rings (51-53) in the axial direction relative to the insulating member (4)."
