MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202444099834 A) filed by Te Connectivity Solutions Gmbh, Schaffhausen, Switzerland, on Dec. 17, 2024, for 'electrical contact for a male electrical connector.'
Inventor(s) include Yang, Jingwen; Rouillard, Xavier; Malavalli Dasaprakash, Sundareshan; and Leprivey, Pierre.
The application for the patent was published on June 27, under issue no. 26/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to an electrical contact for a male electrical connector (100), the electrical contact (103a, 103b) comprising an electrical contact pin (107a, 107b) and an O-ring (109a, 109b), the pin (107a, 107b) comprising a first part (201), a second part (205), and, between the first part (201) and the second part (205), a narrowed part (203) adapted to house an O-ring (109a, 109b), the O-ring (109a, 109b) being arranged at the pin (107a, 107b), so as to be housed in the narrowed part (203). The invention also relates to an electrical contact pin (107a, 107b), a connector housing (101), and a male electrical connector (100)."
