MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007658 A) filed by TVS Motor Company Limited, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Feb. 5, 2024, for 'electrical component location for a vehicle.'
Inventor(s) include Sivaram Srinivasan; Anand Motilal Patil; and Kandregula Srinivasa Rao.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides an Electrical component location for a vehicle (100). The vehicle (100) consists of a main tube (102) that extends from the vehicle's front to rear along the central axis (A-A'), supporting a seat (108b) while accommodating a range of devices (110), including energy storage units (110a) and control units (110b). Positioned below the seat (108b) and above a centre stand (116), the devices can be flexibly oriented to the right or left of the main tube (102). Notably, the control unit (110b) is situated at a predetermined offset below the power source unit (110a), within a range of 90-110mm. Secure mounting arrangements ensure stability, and the seatmounting (108a) on the vehicle's rear portion, affixed to the main tube (102), contributes to the overall optimization of space and facilitates easy access for serviceability."
