MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202544092242 A) filed by Honda Motor Co. Ltd., Tokyo, on Sept. 25, 2025, for 'electric motorcycle.'
Inventor(s) include Tomura Kineo; and Akiyoshi Hiroyuki.
The application for the patent was published on April 10, under issue no. 15/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An electric motorcycle of an embodiment is an electric motorcycle that adjusts an output of a motor by a grip operation amount of a throttle grip and travels by power generated by the motor, the electric motorcycle including: a clutch operation element; and a control device that calculates a request torque based on the grip operation amount, calculates a torque limitation amount based on a clutch operation amount of the clutch operation element, accumulates pseudo energy based on the request torque and the torque limitation amount, and controls the motor based on an adjustment torque command value obtained by adding an addition torque corresponding to the pseudo energy to the request torque at a time of determination of reduction or resolution of a limitation command."
