MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311085529 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Dec. 14, 2023, for 'electric charge harvesting system for small energy devices.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Tarun Singhal; Dr. Vinay Bhatia; Dr. Ankur Singhal; Dr. Sukhdeep Kaur; Dr. Rajdeep Singh; Ishta Rani; and Parveen Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An electric charge harvesting system for small energy devices, comprises of plurality of SETs (Single Electron Transistors) installed around a solar panel for harvesting charge carriers around the solar panel, a charge-sensitive preamplifier paired with the SETs for amplifying charged carriers in order to increase strength of harvested charge, an ADC (Analog-to-Digital) convertor connected with the preamplifier for converting analogue signal in correspondence to quantity of the harvested charge into digital pulse, a microcontroller paired with the ADC converter for determining the harvested charge which is displayed over a computing unit accessed by a user for enabling the user to optimally use the harvested charge and change orientation of the solar panels for enhancing the charge harvesting."
