MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517064815 A) filed by Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, Tokyo, on July 8, for 'electric car control system.'

The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This electric car control system (1, 2) is equipped with: a power conversion device (51, 52) that is installed in an electric car (10), is electrically connected in series to a circuit breaker (70) electrically connected to a power supply (90), converts power supplied from the power supply into DC power or AC power, and records a failure in response to either opening of the circuit breaker or the stoppage of supply of power from a control power supply for the electric car; and a car information management device (60) that is installed in the electric car and communicably connected to the power conversion device. The car information management device transmits a first signal to the power conversion device before the circuit breaker is opened in a condition in which the circuit breaker is to be opened to separate the power conversion device from the power supply, or in a condition in which the supply of power from the control power supply for the electric car is to be stopped, the car information management device transmits the first signal to the power conversion device before the supply of power from the control power supply for the electric car is stopped, and the power conversion device, having received the first signal transmitted from the car information management device, stops recording of the failure for a predetermined period of time."
