Inventor(s) include Aryan Nikam; Om Shinde; Shreya Bartakke; Aaditi Yadav; and Dr. Sushila Palwe.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Edge-RAG over Bluetooth Mesh: A Multi-User Retrieval-Augmented Large Language Model with Offline Connectivity for Mobile Chatbots The invention discloses a system and method for enabling offline, multi-user interaction with large language models (LLMs) through a custom Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) mesh communication framework. The system comprises one or more Host Devices (101) executing LLMs locally, a plurality of Client Mesh Nodes (103) including mobiles, laptops, and personal computers for generating user queries, and Mesh Relay Nodes (104) for extending encrypted multi-hop communication. Each interaction is managed through a Session and Identity Manager (105), Security and Encryption Layer (107), and Chunking and Reassembly Module (106) to ensure authenticated, secure, and loss-free transmission. The system is model-agnostic, supporting any LLM framework as per resource availability, and is scalable to multiple hosts operating cooperatively within the same BLE mesh network. The invention further provides OEM-level integration (109) for embedding the framework in future device ecosystems, enabling secure, private, and internet-independent LLM access across heterogeneous devices."
